Prescription, New &  Renewals

When calling for a prescription refill, please have the name of the medication, dosage, and your preferred pharmacy. Generally, routine medication refills are sent the same day during regular office hours but it may take up to 48 hours. You can also request a prescription refill via the Patient Portal.  Try to anticipate your refill needs. If you are due for an appointment, we will kindly ask that you schedule one. However, if you are completely out of your medication, we will supply a one month refill to cover you until you can schedule an appointment.

Understanding Our Prescription Policy
Your health and safety are our highest priorities. To ensure you receive high-quality, personalized care, our practice adheres strictly to New Jersey medical regulations (N.J.A.C. 13:35-7.1A) regarding prescriptions and medication management.

Our Standard Care Requirement
In accordance with state law, a formal medical evaluation is generally required before we can prescribe or dispense any new medication. During this evaluation, your provider will:

  • Review your medical history and perform an appropriate examination.

  • Determine a diagnosis using relevant clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.

  • Develop a tailored treatment plan, thoroughly discussing the risks, benefits, and alternatives with you.

  • Arrange follow-up care to monitor your progress and safety.
