Referrals
Our Specialist Referral Policy
To ensure you receive the best and most efficient care, both in our office and with specialists, we have established the following policy for referral requests. Our goal is to make this process as smooth as possible for you.

Your Role in the Referral Process
Many health insurance plans require a formal referral from your primary care physician before you can see a specialist. To avoid any unexpected insurance denials or out-of-pocket costs, it is your responsibility to obtain a referral for any specialist that you plan to see. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm their specific requirements ahead of time.

Processing Time for Referrals
We are committed to processing your requests thoroughly and accurately. Due to the overwhelming number of referral requests we manage, our office requires at least 2 business days' notice to process a referral.
To ensure your referral is ready in time, please inform us well in advance of your scheduled specialist appointment. Submitting your request early helps us prevent any delays in your care.

Urgent or Emergency Situations
We understand that true medical emergencies can occur. Exceptions to the 2-day notice period will be made only in true emergencies. An emergency is considered a sudden, unforeseen medical condition that requires immediate specialist attention as determined by a medical provider. Please note that routine or previously scheduled appointments do not qualify for an expedited request.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Following this policy helps our staff serve all our patients effectively and ensures you receive the seamless care you deserve.
